Live AI reports vs batch reports: what does the total mean?
A batch report summarizes one set of processed records. A live report maintains an answer as source data changes. Both can display the same chart while describing different populations.
Name the population and time window
If a batch classified yesterday's expenses, its total represents that run. A live report grouped by category can include later inserts, updates, and deletes. Define whether time means the source record's date or the time processing finished. Also define how incomplete backfill appears: a partially counted dataset should not be presented as the full population.

What to verify
Baleybots distinguishes run reports from live totals and exposes coverage, generation, and replacement state. Its report windows use inclusive start and exclusive end boundaries. Certain sources without a time field support all-time totals only. Verify those source-specific rules before presenting a trend. Compare the maintained result against a direct count on a small fixture containing inserts, updates, and deletions.
