How to classify CSV rows with AI

CSV classification is a useful first AI workflow because each row can be inspected independently. Start with a narrow question, such as assigning customer feedback to a product area, rather than asking for an unrestricted analysis of the whole file.

Keep identity separate from the label

Add a stable row ID before processing. Preserve the original feedback and return the category in a new field. If you replace the input text with a summary, later review becomes harder. Define a taxonomy with examples and a review category for rows containing multiple requests. Empty cells should have their own handling rather than being silently classified as ordinary feedback.

What to verify

Measure errors by category. A dominant category can make overall accuracy look good while rare cases fail. Baleybots supports CSV-upload sources and CSV sinks through its pipeline API.
